Beauty + Style | Lady and the Vamp

Beauty Talk | Hair Diary of a Long-Haired Lazy Girl

This post is sponsored by Pantene. All words and opinions are my own.
I'm in a good place with my hair right now, mainly because I've stopped abusing it and learned to take care of it vis-a-vis a laissez-faire approach. Although my hairstyle hasn't changed since middle school when I irrationally chopped it to shoulder length to mimic the Rachel Green flip (Friends reference for my younger readers), I've definitely attempted to personalize it over the years with coloring, highlighting, curling, perming (not my proudest hair moment), straightening, extensioning, and keratining. But with age comes a bit of wisdom and a lot of laziness, which is why about two years ago, I decided to keep my hair on permanent low-maintenance au naturale mode, a hair decision that's reaping lengthy benefits!

Beauty + Style | Holiday 5 Minute Day to Night Look

This post is sponsored by Target. All words and opinions are my own.
Not to toot my own horn, but if there's one thing I've mastered by being a lawyer moonlighting as a blogger, it's quick and easy beauty and style transitions from day to night with absolutely no time to spare. Today I'm teaming up with Target to show how I recently went from work straight to my Friendsgiving dinner in just five minutes or your money back.

Holiday Style | What To Wear On Thanksgiving

Holiday Style | Easy Ways to Update The LBD

This post is sponsored by Macy's. All words and opinions are my own.
Fall fashion is all about the little black dress, so I'm super excited to share my outfit ideas for styling up and down two LBDs from Macy's for every holiday moment!

Fab Find | Affordable Holiday Gifts For The Whole Family

"Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Simon Premium Outlets through their partnership with POPSUGAR. While I was compensated by POPSUGAR to write a post about Simon Premium Outlets, all opinions are my own."
I spent this past Sunday at Camarillo Premium Outlets getting a head start on holiday shopping while reliving a slice of my childhood. Growing up, my family spent quite a few Sundays taking day trips to Cabazon and Camarillo as they were no-brainer destinations for affordable designer goods. Each trip was a marathon and at least six hours in duration as we'd leave only after hitting up every single store with bags atop of bags in our trunk, a driving hazard for sure. I promise my parents aren't Shoppers Anonymous members as most of the purchases were for our overseas relatives. Back then, American designer goods were scarce and super expensive in China so every time my parents went back for a visit, they'd bring suitcases filled with polos from Ralph Lauren, Kate Spade and Coach handbags, and lots of perfume from every brand imaginable. They basically played Santa to the Wu clan!

Office Style | Fall Tan

Bundling up in suede, cozy knits, and shades of tan for a trendy office look featuring Tibi and Joe's Jeans!

Beauty Talk | Bust a Myth

I’m partnering up with Paula’s Choice to bust some of the biggest beauty myths and to share what's been working for my skin this fall!

LA Events Style | Black Into It

I opted for a preamble to fall outfit mixing a few fall fashion trends at the Fendi x InStyle party a few weeks ago.

I wore this outfit to the Fendi x InStyle party a few weeks ago. It's definitely a deviation from my everyday style as I rarely wear so much black but it was fun to go outside the zone and try something new, particularly for a fashion event! I really love my Jonathan Simkhai turtleneck crop top from Kin Los Angeles as it's a perfect transitional piece that can be dressed up or down. Since the curve hugging top is quite body conscious, I decided to downplay its sexy vibe and go for more edge with my Cosette trouser suspenders as I'm a firm believer that all clothing can be tweaked and molded to fit your style and not the other way around.

Fab Find | The Fringe Jacket

Although I was initially more than a bit wary of fall's fringe jacket fashion trend, I've come to appreciate it in the past few weeks. With 70s style coming back with full vengeance (but then again, when did it ever leave?), the fringe jacket is the ultimate piece of fall hippie statement fashion. But dress with caution as fringe is super tricky to pull off especially in jacket form. The golden rule is to never do fringe with fringe as you'd look like a walking car wash. Instead, keep the rest of the outfit simple while intact with 70s flair. Layer the jacket with a simple tee tucked into dark flared jeans or wear it over a loose-fitting black dress finished off with ankle boots. And if you want to go extra boho, add a fedora.

Most fringe jackets are suede or suedette which can look super cheap if the material is thin or flimsy so pick one that's on the thicker side. And lastly, I wouldn't invest on a fringe jacket as it's a trend that's on the fringe and will most likely evaporate before winter's snow melts which is why I'm keen on these affordable pieces which will keep you warm and inside the fringe of good style!

Transition Style | These Colors Won't Run From Summer

Taking my Show Your Mumu summer red and white striped dress into fall with just a few tweaks!

Weekend Style | Lace, Polo, and Rosè

It was all about lace and Rosè at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers Park!

Date Night Style | Fall Criss-Cross

I am combining three of my favorite fall pieces into a fun outfit perfect for date night!

Beauty | Fake It "Til You Look It

This post is sponsored by Target.
Being a blogger and a lawyer, I'm often switching between two very different hats. During the day, I'm activating the logical, organized, analytical, and well-versed-in-legalese part of my brain. At nightfall, the power suit is swapped for a floral maxi as I'm soaking in visual inspiration, channeling abstraction, and stringing together flowery adjectives in the creation of my blog posts. With so much to do on a daily basis, I don't always (if ever) get eight hours of sleep. And although I'm perpetually in the red when it comes to sleep, it doesn't mean I have to be blood shot and looking like an extra from The Walking Dead.

By taking care of my skin, mind, and body, I've managed to mask the fact that I'm both a night owl and morning rooster, and I'm super excited to share a few of my tips for looking rested even when I'm so not. Yoga has always been my saving grace for clearing my mind and skin.

Yoga has always been my saving grace for clearing my mind and skin. Yoga poses along with sweating out toxins stimulates blood circulation creating a healthy glow. The poses also aid with healthy digestion which is extremely important for promoting healthy skin!

Fitness Style | Best New Workout Classes in LA

Sharing my fall athleisure outfit and a roundup of the best and most effective new fitness classes in LA!

Travel Style | Brussels Indulgence

The last leg of our Europe trip was pure indulgence where we dined like kings, drank like sailors, and slumbered like Rip Van Winkle at the regal Le Plaza Hotel Brussels.

Fab Find | The Oversized Printed Scarf

The oversized printed scarf is one of the biggest fall 2015 fashion trends and tears straight from the pages of Parisian street style. Drape it over a monochromatic outfit for a pop of color, wrap it over a crisp winter coat and cozy sweater combo to complete your fall layers, or if you live in LA, pretend it's cold outside and wear the scarf with t-shirt and shorts. No matter how you wear it, it's guaranteed to be a tres chic style accessory that's effortless to pull off.

Here are a few of my favorite fall scarves that are styled to sell!

Travel Style | Mad Hatter

I picked up this Esprit fedora in Amsterdam and it didn't leave my head the rest of the trip!

Travel Style | Forest Florals

Wearing florals while driving through the Black Forest in Germany.

Beauty | Glow with the Flow

This post is sponsored by Target.

I started wearing makeup at the age of 14 and have experimented with many different "faces" over the years. There was the "I want to look scarier than Scary Spice" face accomplished with penciled in eyebrows and a permanent scowling frown. There was the "I think I'm a Japanese anime" face that required wearing non-regulated circle lenses smuggled in from Korea. And then there was the "I'm going to wear colors of the rainbow on my eyes" face where I learned the hard way that colorblocking neon orange and blue eyeshadow does NOT work on Asian skin. Oh the joys of nostalgic beauty mishaps!

Now that I'm older and wiser (crossing my fingers), I'm much more mellow and confident about makeup. Through years of trial and error, I know what works for me and what doesn't and have truly reached a beauty epiphany-makeup is about accentuating your features, not creating new ones! And that's why I'm so excited to be working with Target and Pixi to share the one makeup look I default to day in and day out. It's my "feel comfortable in my own skin" true face and the beauty look that lets my inner glow flow!

Summer to Fall Style | Combat Boots

This post is sponsored by DSW Shoes.
Sharing a summer to fall transition look with my DSW combat boots!

Fab Find | A-Line Mini Skirt

One of my favorite fall 2015 fashion trends is the A-line mini skirt and I have a feeling this is one summer to fall fashion trend that's going to stick around for quite some time. It made its first appearance this past summer and it's coming back full throttle with fall shades of tan, oxblood, and black, front buttons for an added dose of detailing, and cozy fabrics like suede corduroy. The shape is flattering on all body types while the outfit permutations are absolutely endless! For a chic daytime look, I'd dress up the skirt with a cozy oversized sweater and over-the-knee boots. At night, I'd take off the sweater to reveal a front lace-up shirt and ditch the boots for lace-up heels.

Here's my roundup of "Under $100" A-line mini skirts. My favorite is the $34 real genuine suede version from Forever 21 as it's easy on the wallet, heavy on fall style!

Fab Find | Best Stylish Travel Tech Gadgets

Traveling with someone as tech savvy as M has really opened my eyes to a world of tech gear that makes traversing through Europe (and all other destinations) much much easier. In the past, my packing centered around how many pairs of shoes I can stuff into the suitcase without causing a shoe bomb which meant I inevitably traveled with too many pairs of shoes and not enough of anything else. But the past is the past and with the addition of present technology, my future travels will be more about efficiency and less about shoes.

To help make your future travels as easy and seamless as possible, I'm excited to share my list of the best travel tech gadgets that marries fab with function!

{Products}
Nobody wants to admit it but everybody has a selfie stick and their use comes into full view when you're taking thousands of photos and don't want to say "Can you take a photo for us" a thousand times.
Throughout my trip, my fitbit kept track of calories, steps, and even my sleep schedule! The Tory Burch version is  much more stylish than the traditional and the neutral color goes with every outfit.
My phone gets banged up a lot when I'm traveling so protection is highly needed. This case functions as a bodyguard for my phone while the collection of cool designs functions as fashion accessory.
A battery pack is a travel necessity. I like this one from iHome as it's small and lightweight.
Looks like a bracelet functions as a phone notification so you're free from your phone and can enjoy the sights.
For the long flights and train rides, I don't use any other headphones as FRENDS are foldable, compact, and so pretty!

{Apps}

We used the Blacklane car service app all over Europe. It's easy to use, dependable, the drivers are professional and always early. Their black car prices are super reasonable!

Google Translate got us out of a few jams. Simply place your camera phone over the foreign text and the app will automatically convert the text to English!

What are some of your can't-live-without travel tech gear? Let me know so I can add them to my personal list!

Zurich Travel Diary | Solo Adventure

If you ever find yourself in Austria, go to Salzburg! An Instagram friendly town nestled 2.5 hours from Vienna by train, Salzburg is bustling with beauty, charm, and the sound of music.

Fab Find | The Best Lace-Up Flats for Every Budget

The lace-up pointed ballet flats trend is the perfect spring to fall transition shoe and every brand is coming out with its version. It's a style made famous by the iconic Aquazzura "Christy" but we can't all splurge on its sticker price of $675 so I've found fabulous budget friendly alternatives from brands like ASOS, Jeffrey Campbell, Arricci, and Topshop. And I've included the originals just in case you're in the mood to splurge. Happy shopping!

After Hours Style | Little Black Top

I'm sharing a non-traditional party outfit from SHOPAKIRA just in time for the weekend!

Travel Beauty | Day to Night Transition

This post is sponsored by Target.
It feels so good to be home! I'm still sifting through thousands of Europe photos and can't wait to tell you about the trip but for now I want to share my Europe day to night beauty look using W3LL PEOPLE all-natural makeup available at Target.
