Fab Find | Best Tech Beauty Devices for Home and Travel

The Terminator was right. The machines are taking over. And I'm not fighting it. For the past year, I've been relying on a team of handheld devices, tools, and gadgets to keep my skin feeling soft, smooth, and clean so that I can say hasta la vista to monthly facials and yearly dermatology visits. From cleaning, tightening, and everything in between, here's a look what I've using both at home and while traveling.

I keep my Olay Professional Pro-X cleaning brush in my overnight bag as it's an affordable device that keeps my skin feeling soft and smooth when I'm on the go. The soft bristles and super sonic rotator are designed to keep skin six times cleaner than with a cleanser alone. It's important to keep the bristles clean and dry and to change it out every few months to prevent bacterial build-up. And at less than $30, it's the best selling cleaning device on the market.

I use it with my Sonya Dakar travel size Silver Clarifying Wash and Detox Micro Scrub to help prevent environmental/travel stress related breakouts.

For over half a year I've been using the Foreo Luna (in pink) to cleanse my face day and night. And in my opinion, it's the smartest and most effective facial cleanser on the market. Using T-Sonic technology, the self cleaning silicone touch points pulsates at 8,000 low frequency pulsations per minute unclogging pores and cleaning out over 95% of makeup, oil, and debris. The backside of the device is the anti-aging surface devised to smooth out wrinkle prone areas. With this device alone, I've pretty much stopped visiting the esthetician as my face feels clean and smooth every single day. The battery power is amazing as I honestly have not had to charge it since Day One. Every beauty guru needs this in their beauty arsenal! It comes in three different colors and models for different skin types and is available for $199 at Sephora

In the mornings, I use it with my Bliss Fabulous Foaming cleanser as it gently cleans and exfoliates. Then I massage Bliss Triple Oxygen ex-Glow-sion Moisture Cream into my skin using the other side of the device. At night, I use the device with Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel to Oil cleanser which takes off all traces of makeup. I picked up all my Bliss products at Kohl's as they now carry the complete line!

{TIGHTEN}

Microneedling is the process of punching hundreds of tiny holes in your face, causing microscopic injury to the skin and making it easier for the skin to absorb serums and moisturizers. It sounds scary and painful but it really is quite tolerable! The process stimulates the growth of new collagen, minimizes pores, and fades old acne scars. There are tons of handheld derma rollers out there and most are under $15. I got mine from Amazon and have been using it for a few weeks to help with the absorption of my brightening serums. It's too early to tell if it's working but it's minimally painful and requires zero upkeep so I guess there's really no downside!

I use it with Clarins Double Serum as my skin is usually parched when traveling and needs an extra dose of hydration. I follow with Le Metier de Beaute Dark Spot Corrector to clear up sun spots and prevent new ones from forming as my skin is always much more exposed when traveling.

Every dermatologist and skincare professional I know recommends NuFace Trinity as the best microcurrent device to tighten the skin and fend off wrinkles. It has won numerous beauty awards and has been clinically tested and proven to improve facial contours and to eliminate wrinkles. Even though I've not yet experienced sagging skin or fine lines, I plan on using NuFace as a preventative antiaging technique. The micro-current energy is not pain-free but I hear it's tolerable as you can adjust the settings depending on your pain tolerance. I imagine the pain is nothing compared to getting a face lift in the future. Can't wait to try it soon!

I hear it's great to apply a good serum and moisturizer after each treatment. Right now, I'm obsessed with Biossance Revitalizer, a plant derived serum/moisturizer that won't clog skin and leaves my skin feeling so so soft and moisturized. I love it. Afterwards, I like to add an extra layer of moisture to my dry cheeks. Right now I'm loving RoC Multi-Correxion 5 In 1 Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30. I love its built-in sunblock as it saves me an extra step.

The Michael Todd Eye Eraser is a beauty holy grail! The small portable wand utilizes sonic, ionic, and thermal infusion technology to reduce undereye puffiness and dark circles and helps build skin's elasticity and resilience over time. It heats up and starts pulsating upon contact and aids in the skin's absorption of eye creams eye creams and serums. It's portable, compact, and ideal for traveling and honestly I can't imagine traveling without it now!

I use it with RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream. I love the travel-friendly tube design and the multi-functional formulation that helps fight puffiness, dark circles, and dryness around the eyes--all symptoms of travel fatigue.

I've had my Clarisonic Opal for years and it' a pretty powerful device that massages the eye area at 7,500 pulses per minute. I definitely see an immediate lift after every use and I think it's effective in keeping the eye area tight and lifted as studies show regular use will definitely keep wrinkles and sagging at bay.

In the mornings, I use it with Shiseido Sun Protection Eye Cream with SPF 34. I've noticed a lot of sun spots gathering in the eye area as the skin is the thinnest and most sensitive. The SPF adds an extra layer of sun protection for that delicate area. At night, I use Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream because I don't sleep a lot and don't want it to show when I wake up.

{HAIR REMOVAL}

The Panasonic Multi-Functional Wet/Dry Shaver and Epilator stays in my travel duffle. It's one device with detachable heads for epilator/shaver/trimmer to fit every need. It's compact, portable, and I can use it in the shower which shaves off time and adds convenience when I'm traveling.

After each use, I apply a generous layer of hotel body lotion.

The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X has been a mainstay in my life this summer as I've been using it every two weeks to achieve permanent hair removal. And it's been working fabulously! In between every treatment, I'm noticed less growth and when the hair does grow back, it grows in much much thinner. I'm now on my second month and will only need just a few more sessions before I'm completely hair-free! The pain is tolerable and there different heat settings so you can customize according to your tolerance level. It basically achieves the same results as professional hair removal but at a fraction of the cost.

After each treatment, I apply Jergens Shea Beauty Oil to calm down the redness and to keep the area soft and smooth.
