Oscars Red Carpet | Look for Less Lace Dress

During Oscars Week, it was all about intricacy meets simplicity as I wore my Lulu*s lace dress and simple nude sandals from DSW to the Hollywood Domino Gala.

Last week, I attended the Hollywood Domino Pre-Oscars Gala wearing a runway inspired lace and mesh dress with intricate scalloped edges and eyelash hems from Lulu*s. My strappy DSW nude sandals, with its clean lines and simple yet classic design, struck a perfect balance to the intricacy of the dress. In this outfit, I was channeling both old and young Hollywood, much like the scene at the gala where a mix of startlets and movie stars came together to support Artists for Peace and Justice. We dined on sliders and sipped champagne speckled with gold flakes while soulful serenades by Aloe Blacc and Natasha Bedingfield brought the guests to their feet.

It's absolutely crucial to wear comfortable shoes at red carpet events as most of the night is spent standing, shuffling, and walking. The DSW heels, although five inches in height, were surprisingly comfortable, and I'm happy to report I didn't suffer PTFS (post traumatic foot syndrome).

And the best part? The entire look retails for less than $150, making this runway inspired outfit red carpet fabulous and fabulously affordable.
