White, Tan, and Hazel

For a casual Friday that started at Google LA and ended with me asleep on a friend's couch, I mixed a Hanes sweatshirt ($8!) with a silk Chanel scarf, Missguided skirt, and Zara heels.

I'm digging the blending of tan and white as it's a versatile color palette that transitions well from day to night. And although this outfit would work fabulously at work, I felt a bit overdressed while lunching at Google, a workplace thriving on tees, jeans, and the bright young minds of game changers.

After the Google lunch, or as I like to call it, the healthy buffet, I took a quick shopping trip to third street promenade where I was the serendipitous beneficiary of a Levi's denim jacket (it pays to be at the right place at the right time), Then I headed over to a friend's house for dinner and Marco Polo. The Netflix series wasn't my cup of tea so I did what anybody would do when they're bored-fall asleep. Even the nudity wasn't titillating (no pun intended) enough to keep me awake! A few hours later I awoke slightly embarrassed by my geriatic behavior as falling asleep in the middle of a social outing somehow feels quite...elderly.

While in the elevator heading to my car, I caught a quick glimpse of myself in the mirror and was shocked by my reflection. Predictably, my hair and makeup was a package of hot mess but my eyes weren't red or dry even though I'd been wearing my contacts while napping. Aside from the subtle lightening and brightening effect, my AIR OPTIX® COLORS contact lenses in Pure Hazel are the most comfortable color contacts I've ever worn as they are highly breathable.
