{GBF Life} Good, Bad, and Fab Moments of the Week

 I've always wanted to float in space as the idea of not being tied down by gravity or any other worldly elements seem novel and appealing. My wish kind of came true as I've been lost in orbit the past couple of weeks. But instead of doing backflips, I've been alternating between flipping out and burying myself in work as well as a few late night sessions of Dateline ID. By the way, the husband is always the killer. But enough about me. Here's the fun stuff.

{the good}
Last night, I chatted with my style and hair crush Lauren Conrad and nibbled on trays of sweets at The Little Market party. Set inside the Citizens of Humanity showroom, TLM is the brainchild of LC and Hannah Skvarla. They work with artisan groups in developing countries around the world to provide design insights and to showcase their skills to a broader audience.  The work of each group is funded through earnings from the sales of their fair trade and locally made products.
A too many courses fall tasting at The Little Door, my favorite French nouveau restaurant, left my belly full and spirits high. The farro risotto with hints of garlic oil and chunks of healthy kale and sunchoke was my favorite. The muscat grapes and chanterelle mushroom salad was refreshing and triggered a city-wide search for muscat grapes (the search party is still out). I finished every square inch of the chocolate macadamia tart as each bite was consistently gooey, crunchy, and chewy.
While on a girl's weekend in Vegas, we promised to go into beast mode  We took the phrase quite literally as we ate our way through the weekend. The Caesar's Palace Bacchanal buffet left us in such heavy food coma that we nixed our plans to go out and spent the night hanging out in the room. But it' it's never about where you are but who you're with as we had much more fun staying in than beasting in the clubs.

{the bad}

Ain't no party like a M.A.C. Halloween party! The makeup, the costumes, and the creativity were so bad-ass! And the baaadest of all was legendary makeup artist Rick Baker transformed into Frankenstein.
Stepping into enemy territory for a charity photo shoot. I became a Trojan horse.

{the fabulous}

It's city girls meet country "pumpkins" at Riley's Farms. We picked pumpkins, picnicked under the trees, and rocked our best outdoorsy outfits. Thanks Jenny and Leisure Society for an adventure set in nature!
Mesmerizing jewelry, delicious bites, girls suspended in the air, and my beautiful friends at Club Tacori 2013 makes it impossible to not to have a fab time!
 Looking like a 50s suburban housewife while party hopping in the city. Diametric opposites sometime go well together.
 A star studded Who What Wear x Cadillac fete on a starry LA night. I left before anyone jumped into the pool. So tempting...
 The backstage scene while getting hair and makeup done at the Bri Seeley fashion show.
 Seeing this view of the Pacific Ocean atop The Huntley Hotel reassures me that nothing in life is absolute so embrace the options, choices, and all the twists and turns as far as the eye can "sea."
