Clued In

The moment I laid eyes on Cher's computerized outfit matching rotating closet in Clueless, I experienced closet envy. It was an organized shopaholic's haven! The computer picks out a best-dressed list worthy outfit and automates the rotating closet to find and dispense it piece by piece. Thesis long debates over what to wear are eradicated. Shoulder and neck pain caused by unnatural body contortions to find that perfect white tee buried in a black hole in the back of the closet are alleviated. Go back to my brick and mortar closet? As if!

Replicating Cher's high-tech closet is still in the works (it's eminent, trust me). Until then, I have My Style Genie to count on for a dose of digital closet styling. The site is both a personal shopper and personal stylist. Enter your style and brand preferences, upload pictures of what you already have in your closet, and My Style Genie will pick out outfits tailor styled for you.  They work with fabulous retailers like Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus so the outfit options are on-trend and fabulous. There's also a social component so you can share your MSG outfits with your friends. You can even track your outfits and create a virtual wardrobe to guarantee you'll never be caught wearing the same outfit twice (the worst of all fashion crimes). As a MSG Style Influencer, I got to test out the site's BETA version before its public launch and find it user-friendly and quite addicting. It's a fun and stylish way to put together outfits, regardless of whether you're fashion savvy or completely clueless.

If you'd like to sign up for your own style genie, contact me or request an invite here. It's free!
