Do It Yourself At Home Keratin Treatment Review-FAB Beauty Spotlight

Hair woes have been wooing my life since childhood. My hair, in its natural state, is frizzy, wavy and prone to volume of ginormous proportions. That's why I keep it long, layered and permanently attached to my flat iron as memories of my curious foray into shoulder length hair in sixth grade left me looking like a bloated mushroom cap. It was not my most fab look.

Although flat irons and other heating tools have managed to tame my mane, I know it's an unhealthy  relationship as such tools inevitably dry out and damage hair follicles. So, I've been looking into alternative medicine for my hair in the form of keratin treatments. Keratin is a type of protein high in the amino acid “Cystine.” This special amino acid is what makes hair super tough and extremely elastic. The treatment repairs damaged hair by transforming the texture of the hair follicle, leaving hair shiny, smooth and soft. My friend Eva got an in-salon keratin treatment, a process that took over two hours and cost more than $200.  With my hectic and wildly unpredictable schedule, I simply do not have that kind of time to spare on hair so I opted to try the at-home Keratin Complex Instant Keratin Repair Pack and compare notes with Eva on our hair results.

Eva's in-salon keratin treatment:

Cost: $250.
Time: 2.5 hours.
Results: Shiny and frizz-free hair without blow dryers or flat irons.
Duration: 3 months.
Maintenance: Regular use of specific keratin shampoo and conditioner to obtain optimal results.

My Keratin Complex Instant Keratin Repair Pack treatment:
Cost: $61.
Time: A two step process that takes five minutes. After each shampoo, towel dry hair. Dispense and distribute INTENSE RX into hair. Then, dispense and distribute INFUSION into hair. I let my hair air dry and use a blow dryer to style when it's about 80% dry.
Results: Frizz-free and soft hair that's easy to style and easy to maintain. It evens works in dry Las Vegas weather. No mushroom cap growth here.
Duration: The 1.7 fl oz repair system should last 2-3 months.
Maintenance. Nope.

The results are impressive. I'm saving time without sacrificing style, a motto that all busy working gals live by. Stay fabulous, effortlessly!
