Art Los Angeles Contemporary (ALAC) Opening Night Reception

Last night I attended ALAC's red carpet reception to kick off this weekend's Art Los Angeles Contemporary fair. Held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, purveyors and curators of art congregated to view the amazing showcase of local contemporary art pieces from dozens of galleries. Although I'm not super knowledgeable about art, I definitely appreciate and admire the sense of beauty and self-expression that is derived from the creation of art, regardless of the art form.

The talented Rachel Griffiths. In a sea of grey and black, she stood out in her stunning yellow sheath dress. She told me she felt like a giant lemon ball.
