Personal Style At the Joico x Colgate Golden Globes Beauty Bar

I wore this outfit to the Joico x Colgate Optic White Golden Globes Beauty Bar at the Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood on an unpredictably warm January day. Always a skeptic when it comes to sultry winter weather,  I layered heavily just in case the sunshine made a disappearing act. I've had my striped blazer for ages but never wore it as it's too wide in the shoulders so I pulled a fashion girl cliche and draped it instead. The polka dot blouse is about eighty years old (in fashion years) and had its swan song that day. 

Bribed by the prospect of an open bar, J came with me. I never have to worry about keeping him entertained at these estrogen filled events. He's quite the social chameleon and always ends up either making friends or getting really drunk. When he does both, that's when things get epically interesting. 

The event was fab and quite educational. In between getting my hair blown out, makeup touched up, and nailed filed down, I learned that Rumor Willis has an average size chin, Krysten Ritter is fiercely gorgeous, and Shenae Grimes has an amazing sense of chic boho personal style. Oh, Hollywood. I can't ever quit you!
