Personal Style Outfit-Lulus.com Holiday Parties Styling Series {Part 2}

For Part 2 of the GBF x Lulus.com Styling Series, I'm shining the spotlight on my deep maroon Lulus.com heels in all its velvety triple strap pointed glory. I love the on-trend color as it goes with everything in my fifty shades of oxblood fall wardrobe and the shape is absolutely versatile and classic. For this look, I've mixed elements of girlish charm and ladylike genteelness from head to toe as I love co-mingling styles and fashion aesthetics.

The laid back knit hat sits directly on top of cocktail party appropriate bejeweled earrings. My cashmere Jigsaw London sweater connotes refined and subdued elegance and yet I've paired it with a flirty and short brocade skirt. School girl chic knee high socks and pointy toe heels are an unexpected combo but make for an interesting pairing. Have fun with fashion, experiment to your heart's content, and don't be bound by silly notions of dictated fashion constraints. Because the sky's the limit when it comes to finding, owning and flaunting your personal style.

I wore this outfit to a friend's white elephant holiday party this past Saturday. I ended up with a less than desirable Christmas teapot that I conveniently left at my friend's house but did go home with hilarious tales from the night. The highlight of the party was incorporating Truth or Dare to the gift exchange as people had to play it if they want to steal a gift. That night, I learned that some people will reveal their deepest and darkest dirty secrets for a video game called Diablo. I guess the devil can bring out the deviant in all of us.
