Fab Event Spotlight-Being Mrs. Dalloway

Virginia Woolf's, "Mrs Dalloway," is one of my favorite books as it beautifully explores the life and relationships of one woman through the events of a single day as she prepares to throw a party. Consequentially, every time I host a party I channel Mrs. Dalloway and find myself reflecting on the relationships I've built with my party guests.

Last week, I co-hosted the ILORI Eyewear party at their newest store inside The Americana in Glendale. Derived from an African word meaning “special treasure,” ILORI is about discovery-of a new brand, a new experience, a new definition of luxury, a new treasure. Founded on the Italian principle of design purity, ILORI is the preeminent curator of eyewear and brings exclusive and limited edition pieces to a luxury boutique experience. The turnout was fantastic and I was so grateful to see so many familiar faces. I spent the night trying on each pair of sunglasses with friends all the while thinking about the positive impact each  has made on my life.
Before the guests arrived, I tried on a few pair of fabulous frames and decided to hold on to a classic Bvlgari  for the night. My party frock is from Ann Taylor, suede pumps are Christian Louboutin, necklace and earrings are from Bauble Bar, and my layers of bangles are Belle Noel.
Champagne and hors' d'ouevres  flowed throughout the night and each guest went home with a gift bag filled with goodies from Sephora and ILORI.
Striking a pose with my friend and co-host Kelly Lee! Isn't her head to toe Kelly Wearstler outfit just divine?
Good friends always equal a good time! Love my girls (and Dan!)

My mom came out to support me! She's such a social butterfly and spent the night chatting with my friends. She's probably still trying to figure what I do as a fashion blogger. I always hear her and dad telling our family and friends that "Jenny takes pictures of herself and goes to HOW-LAI-WOO parties." They're so cute.
With my blogger sweetheart Erica and my gal pal Kelsi who is the founder and President of Two Point Oh! LA. She's kind of a superwoman in the LA fashion community.
More of my favorite blogger buddies! From left to right: Erica, Sheryl, An, Kelly, Kelsi, and I Heart Vintage.
Devon! She always puts a smile on my face.
Congrats Kin for winning the $500 ILORI gift card!

With Gilda the fabulous store manager. Thanks so much for everything!

The end.
