Stop Staring! LA Fashion Week Fall 2011 Fashion Show

Last night, I attended the first Fall 2011 Style Fashion Week LA fashion show featuring vintage inspired glam brand Stop Staring. I've been a long time fan of the brand, as its vintage inspired dresses exude ladylike elegance and a sense of retro glamour without bordering on looking costume-y.

The fashion event was held at Vibiana, an old church that has been converted into a grandiose and dramatic space that's used for special events.

I absolutely LOVE my Leyendecker silk tank adorned with details, which comes from their Spring 2011 collection. Launched in fall 2006 as the brainchild of Los Angeles based designers Jessica Moss and Lisa Guajardo, Leyendecker has since its inception earned a reputation for consistently clean lines and a classically current sensibility. Each Leyendecker piece is designed with quality in mind using all natural fibers such as silk, cotton, wool and rayon, employing unique trims and handmade details rarely found in other collections. Always strong, bold and a little off-kilter, the Leyendecker look is clean with just a dash of L.A. chic and ease that is sure to turn heads.

Here are some of my favorite looks from the Stop Staring Fall 2011 collection. A lot of the guests were wearing dresses from the brand, including Bridget. I love that the dresses mold to and compliment each person's body shape in a very flattering way, giving off the illusion of the perfect hourglass silhouette.

Off to the next show!
