Surprise!!! M and I got married in Maui (we're Maui-ed!)!!!!
From the moment we got engaged last October, our house renovation invaded and took over our lives. After filming with HGTV, we basically gutted the rest of the house (both inside and outside) and have been building it up from scratch. Compounded with busy work schedules, my out of character aversion to wedding planning, and a few other unforeseen surprises, we tried to plan a wedding multiple times but it just didn't feel right. So we decided to say our "I dos" on top of the clouds on Haleakala Crater in Maui. And every moment of it felt like being on cloud nine.
We're now back in LA nesting as husband and wife and it's been an amazing feeling getting to announce our surprise nuptials to family and friends. And although our road to the wedding was short and easy, I did embark on a secret journey to design my wedding ring in great detail and even got to work with my friends at Simon G on creating a one-of-a-kind custom wedding band!
I love my vintagesque cushion cut with halo engagement ring and didn't want a traditional diamond pave wedding band to go with it as I wanted something reflect my personality and to be able to wear it and have it stand on its own. So, I scoured Pinterest for images that inspired and moved me trying to incapsulate in a ring the truest version of myself. Basically, all things a little boho and a lot of floral.
