{GBF What I Wore Day and Night} Get In On the Act

I'm Chinese so I'm big on getting the most bang for my buck and seek outfits that inspire versatility especially on weekdays when I lack the luxury to go home and change between day and night. Ideally, the staple pieces for a versatile outfit can effortlessly dress up from day to night in thirty seconds or less with a quick change of key accessories. So I build versatile outfits with dark jeans or fitted blazers as foundation blocks.

Last week, I built my outfit around my pink Converse All Stars Chuck Taylors from Shiekh Shoes because I can't stop wearing them. It's mainly to make up for lost time as my parents wouldn't buy me a pair when I was high school as they couldn't understand the functionality. Are they sporty shoes? Can you run around in P.E. with them? No? Can you wear them with dresses? Nope. Then when would you wear them? Ummm, when I need to look cool which is like the most important function in a teenager's life.

I wore my Chucks with a hot pink blazer and leg slimming Lucky Brand jeans (it's all about the strategic whisking) during a day of work and running errands and switched out the purse, the shoes and added a necklace for a fun night at Palihouse where Ted Baker transformed the lobby into a carnival complete with cotton candy machines, men on stilts, and a preview of their spring collection which is prettily filled with etheral florals, preppy jacquard, and bouncy chiffon dresses. I must have gotten way too engrossed in the carnival spirit because when my phone alarm went off the morning after, I was jolted awake by compromising photos of me and a corn dog.
