An Evening With Star Chefs Pasadena Event-FAB LA Foodie Events Spotlight

I attended a fabulous night of food and wine tasting at Pasadena's oldest and most exclusive culinary benefit. "An Evening with Star Chefs" felt like a fancy pre-Fourth of July celebration as it was held in front of the historic City Hall and was attended by government officials like Pasadena's police chief,  Congresswoman Judy Chu and many other uniformed men and women. Founded by Julia Child in 1963, the benefit attracts over 500 prominent, concerned, and caring friends to enjoy an evening of fine wines, exotic beers, live entertainment, a top notch silent and live auction, and a one of a kind opportunity to sample exquisite cuisine prepared by premiere chefs from over forty of the area’s most prestigious restaurants.

The 49th Annual event benefiting Rosemary Children's Services celebrated a girl’s potential and star power, with an emphasis on female empowerment and collaboration. The non-profit org is committed to providing compassionate and therapeutic services to “at-risk” children.

I had a ball. The food was divine, the wine intoxicating. And I almost bid on a three months old shih tzu pup with a pink polka dot bow above her left ear! Then came the dancing. An eight piece band playing classics like "Mustang Sally" kept my feet moving as I danced under the stars to the gaze of the crescent moon while admiring the majestic backdrop that is city hall, Pasadena's finest landmark.
