Beauty | Glow with the Flow

This post is sponsored by Target.

I started wearing makeup at the age of 14 and have experimented with many different "faces" over the years. There was the "I want to look scarier than Scary Spice" face accomplished with penciled in eyebrows and a permanent scowling frown. There was the "I think I'm a Japanese anime" face that required wearing non-regulated circle lenses smuggled in from Korea. And then there was the "I'm going to wear colors of the rainbow on my eyes" face where I learned the hard way that colorblocking neon orange and blue eyeshadow does NOT work on Asian skin. Oh the joys of nostalgic beauty mishaps!

Now that I'm older and wiser (crossing my fingers), I'm much more mellow and confident about makeup. Through years of trial and error, I know what works for me and what doesn't and have truly reached a beauty epiphany-makeup is about accentuating your features, not creating new ones! And that's why I'm so excited to be working with Target and Pixi to share the one makeup look I default to day in and day out. It's my "feel comfortable in my own skin" true face and the beauty look that lets my inner glow flow!

Fab Find | A-Line Mini Skirt

One of my favorite fall 2015 fashion trends is the A-line mini skirt and I have a feeling this is one summer to fall fashion trend that's going to stick around for quite some time. It made its first appearance this past summer and it's coming back full throttle with fall shades of tan, oxblood, and black, front buttons for an added dose of detailing, and cozy fabrics like suede corduroy. The shape is flattering on all body types while the outfit permutations are absolutely endless! For a chic daytime look, I'd dress up the skirt with a cozy oversized sweater and over-the-knee boots. At night, I'd take off the sweater to reveal a front lace-up shirt and ditch the boots for lace-up heels.

Here's my roundup of "Under $100" A-line mini skirts. My favorite is the $34 real genuine suede version from Forever 21 as it's easy on the wallet, heavy on fall style!

Fab Find | Best Stylish Travel Tech Gadgets

Traveling with someone as tech savvy as M has really opened my eyes to a world of tech gear that makes traversing through Europe (and all other destinations) much much easier. In the past, my packing centered around how many pairs of shoes I can stuff into the suitcase without causing a shoe bomb which meant I inevitably traveled with too many pairs of shoes and not enough of anything else. But the past is the past and with the addition of present technology, my future travels will be more about efficiency and less about shoes.

To help make your future travels as easy and seamless as possible, I'm excited to share my list of the best travel tech gadgets that marries fab with function!

{Products}
Nobody wants to admit it but everybody has a selfie stick and their use comes into full view when you're taking thousands of photos and don't want to say "Can you take a photo for us" a thousand times.
Throughout my trip, my fitbit kept track of calories, steps, and even my sleep schedule! The Tory Burch version is  much more stylish than the traditional and the neutral color goes with every outfit.
My phone gets banged up a lot when I'm traveling so protection is highly needed. This case functions as a bodyguard for my phone while the collection of cool designs functions as fashion accessory.
A battery pack is a travel necessity. I like this one from iHome as it's small and lightweight.
Looks like a bracelet functions as a phone notification so you're free from your phone and can enjoy the sights.
For the long flights and train rides, I don't use any other headphones as FRENDS are foldable, compact, and so pretty!

{Apps}

We used the Blacklane car service app all over Europe. It's easy to use, dependable, the drivers are professional and always early. Their black car prices are super reasonable!

Google Translate got us out of a few jams. Simply place your camera phone over the foreign text and the app will automatically convert the text to English!

What are some of your can't-live-without travel tech gear? Let me know so I can add them to my personal list!
