Summer Beauty | Stay In The Nude

I'm sharing the products and the steps to achieving summer's am I wearing makeup or am I not nude beauty look.

This past week, I was in Palm Springs at the Korakia Pensione hotel working on a special project with my friend and fabulous photographer Kate Doherty where our days were spent outdoors working under sweat mustache inducing middle of the summer desert heat. Every few seconds, I contemplated drowning my heat sorrows in a pool of ice as the risk of turning into an icicle would at least fend off the heat for a few minutes. With that mindset in tow, you can probably imagine wearing makeup was the last thing on my mind. However, the project required that I look presentable so I had to put together a beauty look from Target that could stand up to the heat and look good even after the desert melt.

Naturally, I went with nude makeup. It's a light summer look that won't turn your face into a sad clown once the makeup starts melting. For the face, I opted for minimal concealer and moderate conturing using NYX Conceal, Correct, and Contour palette, zero foundation, and a generous layer of Pixi Quick Fix translucent powder to set and mattify. For the eyes, I focused on strong, shapely brows, barely there iridescent lids using e.l.f. Prism Eyeshadow palette, natural looking falsies from e.l.f.  ($1!) along with NYX sweat-proof The Curve liquid eyeliner to make the eyes pop. I filled in my waterline with Pixi Eye Bright Liner  for a natural bright eye look. And as for lips lips, i went with my favorite nude lip crayon from Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm.

I'm not going to lie. The makeup did melt off just a little, but when you're already nude, what's there to lose?
