This is The End of the Beginning

Friday, December 12, 2014

It feels like I've been living out of a suitcase for the past two months. Oh wait! I have been! Well, suitcase living is far from over as I'm heading to NYC for a holiday getaway followed by Christmas in Cancun with the fam.

I'm looking forward to documenting my upcoming travels, sharing unforgettable moments, and capturing joy frame by frame. Life is beautiful and sometimes I can't help but look up to the stars and give thanks to whoever's up there pulling the strings and allowing this rather ordinary girl the opportunity to live out extraordinary moments.

Thank you.

In Denver, I discovered that everything is delicious. We didn't have one bad meal as every meal was worthy of a second, third, tenth visit.

My black Ramy Brook romper was another summer staple as I found myself defaulting to it time and time again. It was also a piece that was easy to work into my fall work wardrobe. I live for I simply tucked it under a leather skirt and layered it with the perfect fall trench. I live for versatility!

Although this outfit was captured by Desiree in Union Square SF, my Missguided floral romper got the most action in Silicon Valley as earlier in the day I was visiting the Google Mountain View campus (the size of a small town). Although I had been to Google Venice before, it did not adequately prepare me for the massive main campus. Made up of a network of more than 90 buildings, the campus is vibrant and energetic with Googlers riding their bikes everywhere, fitness classes taking place in the middle of courtyards, and endless cafeteria serving up every imaginable flavor profile. Mesmerized by its cool factor, I found myself stopping by the Google gift shop to pick up a few souvenirs before heading out for the city.

{GBF Beauty | Feel Fab Look Fab Part III}

Friday, November 7, 2014

For Part III of my Feel Fab Look Fab series I'm tackling hair care and sharing the best post workout products to maintain shiny, soft, and frizz-free hair! Here are Parts I and II.

{Feel Fab Look Fab Part III: Haircare}
{Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Deep Treatment Mask $6} This is by far the best drugstore brand deep conditioner! After intense workouts, I always use this as a hair mask to make sure my hair stays detangled and soft.

{Kerastase Spray a porter $35} I use this spray to create textured beachy waves if I'm in a hurry and don't have time to blow dry my hair after a workout.

{Hask Argan Oil $5} The oil comes in a convenient travel size gym bag friendly tube and works fabulously in creating shine while eliminating frizz. I dab a few drops in wet hair and comb through.

{Tangle Teezer $9} This is the only brush in my gym bag as it's compact, portable, and can detangle the most stubborn of post workout tangles.

{Infiniti by Conair Mini Cordless Therma cell curling iron $18This is the ultimate portable curling iron! Without any plugs or batteries, I can pretty much style my hair anywhere. This full-size iron reaches professional curling iron temperatures quickly and is compact to bring to the gym or when traveling. The curls stay intact!

{Oribe Liquid Gold Collection $55} A travel set of Oribe's best-selling shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil, I've been using the shampoo and conditioner to replenish my hair with essential oils and nutrients. I love Oribe's luxe packaging!

{GBF Travel + Style | Ode to an Old Flame}

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

On my recent trip to the Bay Area, I spent an afternoon exploring SF and taking photos with my new friend and amazing photographer Desiree at some of our favorite city landmarks. Even though LA is the love of my life, SF was my first love and my first home in the US. Exploring the city, its beauty, and the quintessential elements that make it one of a kind rekindled an old flame. And oh how brightly it burned!

Crest 3D White Whitestrips Luxe Supreme FlexFit
dress {Missguided}
heels {Shoedazzle}
necklace {Mint and Lolly}
watch {Guess}

I was so excited to wear my Missguided white frock to the La Mer Guatemala Collection preview event at Gjelina last week, a collaboration with Kixjo Artisans to support women artisans find a global market while making clean cookstoves accessible to poorer local residents. Why a white dress way after Labor Day? Because that night marked the end of my two week whitening program using Crest 3D White Whitestrips Luxe Supreme FlexFit! And I couldn't be happier with the results or the process.

The timing was serendipitous. When Crest approached me to try their Whitestrips, I was in the market for a professional teeth whitening session. After reading that Crest's FlexFit technology allows the Whitestrips  to stretch and mold to custom fit your smile for 30% more whitening and that studies show the Whitestrips whitens as well as a $500 in-office professional treatment, I was sold.

The two week whitening program was painless and seamless. Every day, I applied the two strips to my top and bottom teeth for one hour. The strips stayed on my teeth as I worked out, commuted, watched TV, blogged, The strips bonded tightly and firmly-no excessive gel seeping into my gums, no mess, no fuss. And because the strips deposit just the right amount of whitening juice, I felt zero sensitivity or discomfort but used the special whitening toothpaste that comes with the package just in case. Within one week, my teeth were noticeably whiter. By the end of the second week, I found myself smiling more as my pearly whites wanted to show off their pearlier self!I'm so excited to share my results with you as I couldn't be happier with the product!It's affordable, works amazingly well, and will have you grinning from ear to ear!
