{GBF Life + Style} Nautical in Little Tokyo

On an unseasonably warm winter day in LA, I wore my nautical inspired navy and white outfit to a fun afternoon in Little Tokyo. It's one of my favorite LA playgrounds and a destination I visit at least twice a month. While in J-town, I usually follow a pretty strict routine that starts with putting my name down at The Shabu Shabu House because the thinly sliced marbled beef dipped in garlic rich ponzu and peanut sauce is always worth the wait. Then I walk over to Mitsuru Cafe for a red bean imagawayaki to tie me over until dinner. To kill more time, I browse the shops and inevitably pick up a pair of vintage sunnies from PopKiller or a bodysuit from American Apparel. Then it's back to the restaurant for a meaty garlicky meal that hits the spot.

An outing to Little Tokyo is not complete without post dinner dessert. I alternate between the red bean mochi at Mikawaya and taro froyo topped with red bean at Yogurtland. I can always count on my no-fuss nights in Little Tokyo to be satisfying and to satisfy my red meat and red bean cravings.

I layered my Target striped sweater with my favorite Joe Fresh blouse and a flared Target skirt. The look is simple, crisp, and a wishful nod to anomalous warmer days ahead.
