{GBF Life + Style} Do It Yourself

I've always viewed blogging as an exercise in solitary confinement as the process is inherently basked in solitude. When I'm writing, I'm alone in my thoughts as people and life fade into the background. I love it as it's such a simple existence. There's no need to put on makeup, PJ attire is absolutely acceptable, and nobody has to know I had Flaming Hot Cheetos for BLD. Given my reticently skewed disposition, I could comfortably remain in a state of hermititude for quite some time. But you know what, then I wouldn't get to hang out with my blogger friends.

Over the course of my blogging "career," what started as an exercise in solitude has evolved into an immersion into the blogging community. At first, I fought it. I wanted to keep my distance and to remain at arm's length from the bloggers. But then I got to know them and I realized they're incredibly amazing people. So now, I bask in the opportunities to spend time with them our laughter and the conversations never cease to stop. A few weeks ago I visited the JustFab corporate headquarters for a DIY session hosted by Aimee, one of the chicest DIY bloggers I know. I, along with a few of my favorite blogger gals, spent the afternoon bedazzling our boots. It was an experience I would've missed if I'd stayed in surreptitiously eating my Flaming Hots.

I'm not a DIY guru by any stretch of the imagination so I kept my knee high boots simple with just one line of metal studs. Scroll to the bottom to see how Chanelle, Aimee, Stephanie, and Melanee glammed up their boots! Special thanks to Whitney for taking my photos!
