Personal Style-Three Ways to Wear a Brocade Blazer

I may not be the most bendy yogi in my yoga class but when it comes to putting together different looks, I like to think of myself as a stretchy and flexible style contortionist. After all, the fun of fashion is experimenting and trying out different looks!

For the next three months, I'll be partnering with d.RA Clothing  to flex my contorting style muscles. Each month, I'll incorporate one piece of fabulous d.RA Clothing into three different outfits fit for three different occasions.  This month, I wore a d.RA black and white brocade-like cropped blazer to the farmer's market, brunch with the gals, and a night at the 626 Night Market. Here's how I styled and made the blazer work for three different looks.

First Look
In the morning, I took a leisure stroll through the farmer's market picking up healthy goodies like bitter melon, pomegranates, and concord grapes. I wanted to feel comfortable and look casual so I toned down the fancy nature of the blazer with a simple Happiness is a 10$ tee and Earnest Sewn loose-fitting boyfriend jeans. My Gucci loafers and Louis Vuitton belt added pops of color to the otherwise basic color palette.

Second Look
Later in the day, I went to brunch with the girls. I switched out the jeans for a polka dot skirt from Darling Clothes to breathe feminine appeal to the outfit. It's totally fine to pair different prints as long as they blend well sartorially. A soft pink tee from Three Dots and a sparkly statement chain necklace from Giuliana Rancic for The Loft Live Pink Collection completed my feminine and sweet brunching look.

Third Look
Nighttime food festival fun at the 626 Night Market (a Chinese girl's food paradise) called for a bold look. I offset the blazer's feminine nature with a pair of leather pants and chic cap toe suede pumps from Shoedazzle. Instant edginess! A silk tee from A.L.C. and a crystal Givenchy-esque bracelet completed the fall perfect look.
