Rock Halloween In Gangnam Style

Halloween kind of crept up on me this year which means I had no costume ideas up my sleeve. I was about to recycle one of my costumes from yesteryear for the ghoulish weekend festivities but in the eleventh hour I came up with a quick and easy DIY costume idea. When it comes to DIY, I lack the requisite hand-eye coordination to sew, glue, cut or even staple so the execution needed to be simple to the bare bones.

I dressed up as the personification of the definition of Gangnam style! In other words, I'm a Korean girl from Gangnam, an affluent area in South Korea where girls dress in designer labels, walk in the rain in five inch stilettos, and rock the cute girly look to the max. And yes, I was inspired by PSY's song.

Recreating the Gangnam style look is quite easy. The key is to keep the silhouette basic accented with primary colors. If you'd like detailed info on how to dress like a Gangnam girl, check out my YouTube fashion tutorial detailing exactly how to perfect the look (it's at the end of the post).
