Personal Style [Trendy] Simple Summer Color Blocking

Layering is one of the oldest tricks in the book used to "style" out from the crowd. I think it's because the multiple layers elevate the complexity, texture and color play of the outfit. But what do you do in the summertime when it's 100 degrees out and putting on even a paper thin cardigan causes sweat drips in unwanted places? Color block!

Color blocking bold colors is one of the easiest way to stand out from the crowd and from the heat. Grab and go with bold pieces from your wardrobe. There's really very few unusable color combos as the color possibilities are almost infinite. On their own, bright and vibrant colors are attention grabbers. When combined, they become the sartorial Avengers of style.

I wore this outfit to a Saturday afternoon bbq at the park. It's light, loose and non-constricting and allowed me to eat to my heart's content AND play classic games like The Three-Legged Race (I came in third).

Go bold or go home!
