LA Style Fashion Week Coverage Stop Staring! Spring 2012 Show

Style Fashion Week is very much up my style alley. Held at the gorgeous Vibiana in Downtown LA, the week-long fashion celebration showcases collections from established LA designers that are nothing short of amazing. Aside from the stellar runway shows, Style Fashion Week is also the perfect venue to catch up with friends, do some intense people watching (it's so interesting to see the dramatic variance of the attendees' personal style shift according to the designer presenting at that moment), and experience the perks (makeovers, gift bags, libations, massages, nail spa) of attending a well-sponsored fashion show.

Stop Staring! is one of my fashion week favs. I reviewed and loved its Fall 2011 collection and to my delightful surprise, the Spring 2012 is even better. Yes, I'm a hopeless sucker for vintage prints and styles but that doesn't mean my heart flutters at the sight of any and all things vintage. Stop Staring is flutter worthy due to its ingenious and immaculate tailoring, rendering the dresses universally flattering on women of all shapes and sizes.  Designer Alicia Estrada definitely knows and appreciates all kinds of female forms, and holds the key to creating piece after piece of stare-worthy beauties that enhance, minimize and lift all the right places.

Backstage Fun at the Stop Staring Fashion Show

While I was backstage, I learned that Clarisonic used the Opal Sonic Infusion System on all the models, tightening the skin while infusing serum around the eye, providing models with a needed hydrating lift. Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System was used to remove makeup from the skin of models who were running late from previous shows, helping to create a smooth and soft canvas for makeup application. Getting a mini-facial before the show-what an amazing fashion perk!
