Tomorrow, I'm getting my hair color lightened. I have a strange love/hate relationship with hair color. My natural hair color is DARK brown, and I'm usually fine with it as it adds dramatic flair to my outfits and makeup. However, I go through periods where I get absolutely bored to death with the color and can't wait to go lighter. My ideal color is light brown, but it's difficult to achieve without ending up with orange or reddish tints due to my dark roots. So, after a few months of color, I inevitably switch back to my natural color as I can't stand the unwanted warm pigments. Then, I get color amnesia and the cycle repeats.
I'm going to a Japanese hair salon tomorrow. I find Japanese stylists to be much more fashion and color forward. Plus, they understand Asian hair. Here's hoping to color, rinse and no more repeats!
My unattainable ideal color
